Recognising qualifications

Recognition of professional qualifications acquired in the Member States of the European Union, within the limits defined by The Regulation of the Minister of Economy, October 14, 2008 on the authorization of the Institute of Mechanised Construction and Rock Mining for the recognition of qualifications (OJ No 192, p. 1185):

I. Poles holding rights obtained in the countries of the European Union may seek recognition in Poland, in order to do this an application form must be brought for the initiation of the procedure on the recognition of qualifications to pursue a regulated profession and:
- held rights translated by a certified translator (original),
- photocopies of foreign rights,
- a photocopy of personal Identity Card
- other documents confirming the rights
- photocopy of any rights gained in Poland

Procedure concerning the recognition of qualifications acquired outside Poland is the choice between:

1.1.Adaptation period
1.2.
Skills test
2.
Supplemental training

II. Procedure regarding provision of trans-boundary service for foreign companies conducting investments in Poland with the involvement of their operators holding permissions obtained outside of Poland.

Documents necessary for initiating the procedure:
- guiding letter describing the kind of investments, as well as a recorded list of operators, specifying the range of operated machines for each of the operators.
- request for the initiation of procedure on the recognition of qualifications to pursue a regulated profession -for each operator.
- a photocopy of a valid identity document, together with a translation by a certified translator,
- photocopies of diplomas, together with a translation by a certified translator,
- photocopy of certificates and other documents certifying education together with a translation by a certified translator,
- photocopy of certificates and other evidence of courses/training together with a translation by a certified translator,
- photocopy of certificates and other evidence of professional training, with included information on, among others, the period of employment, type of legal relationship employer/principal, together with a translation by a certified translator, or a photocopy of document proving the qualifications to perform regulated profession, issued by the competent institution in the State of the applicant, together with a translation by a certified translator.

Documents certified by a certified translator must be submitted in the original.
